Of mice and Men - The boss

The boss has "short, quick steps of a fat-legged man" (Steinbeck 21). This quote tells about the bosses  appearance, he must be short, not so tall. The boss seems like a understanding person "gets pretty mad sometimes, but he's a pretty nice fella" (Steinbeck 20). This quote really tells that he has a good side and a bad side. " He pulled his time book out of his pocket and opened it where a pencil was stuck between the leaves" (Steinbeck 21). This quote tells that the boss is very organized and likes to keep track of things, such as what and who his workers are.
