Of Mice and Men pg.1-16
Looking back at what I had predicted the two main characters Lennie and George, have no place to live barely any food or money. This is one of the things that I predicted that people will be homeless and not have much food. In this book Lennie and George have a ambition to have a little house with acres filled with animals also a garden with rabbits for Lennie to pet. I think with hard work this dream could be fulfilled. My personally reflection: The thing that I like is the imagery in this book. While I read this book I actually felt I was there. The setting of the book is Soledad. There is a lot of dialogue between Lennie and George, mostly always about Lennie.
Questions about the book
1. Will Lennie and George get the job at the ranch?
2. If they do get the job how long will they have it for until Lennie gets in trouble?
3. Will Lennie get a rabbit in the future?
I wrote something different in my blog, but I agree with you. I believe that with hard work, Lennie and George can achieve their goal of having their own farm with millions of rabbits. Imagery is a large part of John Steinbeck's work and he does put a lot of detail in his work. Do you feel like you were there or are you just picturing in your head?
ReplyDeleteTo answer your questions:
1. I have not read the entire book yet so I do not know the answers to this question.
2. Same as the previous question.
3. Most likely. I am pretty sure George and Lennie have a love-hate relationship and George will eventually get Lennie a rabbit. That is of course, if they achieve their goal of getting a ranch.
